Once again my brain has been picked for new ideas, and I came up with this:

a handheld console with a video output, it's part of the console, your given the RF lead with the console and it plugs straight into your home tv, then you can play your handheld games on a bigger screen, the console would be used as the control pad, portable use for long car journeys and when you get home you can plug it into your tv like a normal console!

have you played the GB version of pokemon on pokemon stadium? thats what I want to happen, not the whole screen, that would be madness. it would need big boarders, the only problems is, that all tv's have different frame rates, ours being by far the best, but the GBA is an internetion standard. how?

Wouldn't the resolution of the tele cause blocky picture distortion?

I said that months ago and no doubt someone said it before me :-)

S-video and audio output is alot better than an RFlead though :-D

Oh yeah, A third party group has made one for the GBA, you can play it in full screen on your tele BUT you do have to open it to link the wires up, D'oh.

Didn't the Sega nomad have a tv output? If it didn't, it should have!

I'm honoured that you think it's a good idea, I think it could be quite handy, I was thinking about while playing pokemon on my mates pokemon Stadium, it seems like a good idea.

So a quality handheld like the GBA only it can connect to a TV, "TV Boy" style (anyone ever seen them in the argos catalogue?)

Sounds like a neat idea. It'll probably use less battery power (on the screen and sound) as a result.
