OK, this is frustrating. I am pretty new to php, and have been pulling my hair out over the last two days, trying to get this to work I am trying to do a PayPal IPN script in php. I have tried many different sripts (that other people use and work!). For some reason, the one I have hosted does not work. They all error on this line:

$fp = fsockopen ('www.eliteweaver.co.uk', 80, $errno, $errstr, 30);

I get this error:

"Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to www.eliteweaver.co.uk:80 in ..."

I know that eliteweaver is working. What is going wrong. Does freeola allow fsockopen? (eliteweaver has a utility ot test IPN. I have also tried sandbox. No matter what location I put in there, I get an error)

Any help would be very greatfully received.

I think you'll find the problem is that Freeola disallow external connections.
