We used to have a SETI@home crew here from the forums. I think Grix got abducted by aliens and Sheepy had hallucinations about getting impregnated so it folded. I got a new PC ages ago and never bothered reinstalling :(

It's a novel idea that should work well, assuming you can pay for the mass amount of electricity that the PS3 suposedly generates. Perhaps they can work out how to get the PS3 doing things like this in a low-power mode. Although this would have to involve a redesign of the console.
