"Which do you think would make more money 'PS1' or 'PS2'?"

On average a kid has 10 games for ps1 and the games are cheaper so more are sold. Ps2 cost more so they can't buy many games.

Your probaly thinking 'ps2' but not many people are getting it! it costs more and many people are'nt getting it. ps1 have made tons of money and ps2 is getting bought slowly very slowly!

When ps2 goes out of date the ps1 would of sold more and sony would of made so much more money.

Ps2 is popular to everyone but not all are buying ps2 they've got ps1! There are still games coming out so not everyone is that bothered about getting ps2!

If sony stop making ps1 games they'd lose so much money!

The gamecube looks pretty good, Nintendo should recover from the N64 in style but it still remains the "rareware" console.

I must say that some of the games on GC are quite good. I might buy that if I have some spare cash but it will depend on how much the games will be

Actually the Gamecube does not look that bad, i think the graphics are quite good, it has the same graphical power as PS2 aswell.

Im not buying it though, i have got a PS2 now, well since launch date, and i am waiting for all the top class titles coming out.

However, both consoles do look very decent... though i hope X-box and GC both do absolute crap. :)

They did it with the PS1 around a year later, Nothing to do with Xbox or gamecube.

i myself think that the game cube looks like a pile of rubbish on the side of the road its grafix aren't that good and its purple what a horrible colour to put a console in purple

I am actually quite surprised that the price of PS2 dropped so quickly. It is probably so that when Gamecube comes out, people will have to think hard before splashing out on one or the other

As soon as the price goes down a little more i think that a lot of people will eventually buy one so in time the PS2 will make more moneythan PS1 because they will stop making PS1 games which make people want to get a PS2

Does anyone care which will make the most money? As long as im haooy with my PS2 and enjoy the games, i dont care how many they sell.

The price of the PS2 is now only £200. Thats a good way to get people interested

The PS2 won't generate as much money as the PS2, but not for the reasons you said.

The original Playstation had mind blowing sucess.

It took a year to really take off but once it got going, its popularity increased further.

The PS2's sucess is based on the PSOnes - people choosing it because they liked the original.

However, this time sales will slow down.

The PS2 will sell well but don't expect the PSone's dominance of the market to repeat itself.
