Haven't been posting recently on the forums but I got a new PS2 today after thinking of getting one for a while. Got Tekken 4 and an Eye Toy for free which is quite a nice surprise and fantastic fun :)
Anyway that aside...
I am thinking of getting Devil May Cry 2 however I don't want to tarnish how I feel on the series as the first one is one of my favourite games to date. How does it compare to the first and is the formula kept similar or have they changed the code and character movements?
I would rather get your opinions than from reviewers who dig as far into the game as they can to up root a load of none sense which won't be spotted on the surface.
Cheers guys!
I am going to rent a game tomorrow providing my Blockbusters is open (bank holiday) so I will have a glance through. I may give it a rental before hand as I would like to see how everything works before I shell out on a game which may disappoint.
Where the first game gave you a good sense of achievement after finally defeating a Boss,DMC 2 feels a little flat.
The only way I am going to see for myself is to either rent it or go on a blind purchase and hope for the best. Being a big fan of the first puts me on shaky ground as I will be disappointed a lot of it doesn't equal the original but also disappointed if it doesn't improve on the original. From all accounts it fails to improve but with a bit of luck it will turn out to be a decent game with a reasonable level of enjoyment.
