First off, ignore Bonus's poncy comments about the game, and hear it from the horses mouth... as it were.
First off, you'll notice the game is very Nintendoie. The graphics are set in the same style as Miyamoto's best on the N64, they're just a lot better, with detailled textures, great lighting and all.
Luigi is pretty good... he does seem to have lost his domineering height which so easily distinguished him from his brother, although you can still tell it's him.
The way he calls "Maaaaaaaariooooooo?" is good.... you do that with the 'A' button... X is for a room/level map and Y is for the Full-Screen Gameboy Horror.
The Pad is great, a bit bigger than a PS2 pad and about 8 times as comfortable. The L and R buttons weren't quite how I expected... their breadth (sp?) isn't quite so prlofic and the 'Click' is more of a 'Thud' that you had when pressing the L or R buttons on the N64 pad. Still, very good... and you can actually control the intensity of the suction from the Vaccum/Hoover.
The game was in Japanese, and mine was a bit rusty... it's a good job the game has certain words in colour... then you know what to press!
I know this post is all over the place, but believe me, you'll love the Gamecube... The Pad is great, the GC looks cool, the graphics are Post-PS2 material and above all the gameplay... is SPOT ON!
Gamecube is the Future of Gaming.

Anyway I'm sure that I'll at least consider Luigi's mansion because really who thought that mass murder could be fun before it was? Umm, simulated mass murder and of evil enemies that is. Except that evil is relative and technically might not always apply. In GTA you were evil really and killing the citizens was fun, same sort of thing applies in B&W when you throw villagers, or kill them in a devious way. Maybe sucking up ghosts wont be so bad, though I'd like to see some variety. Maybe bashing them with a ghostly wrench, when is that Mario RPG coming out anyway?
Don't get me wrong, I'm all up for new experiences (Monkey Island 4 and DOA2 for example) but they're really not my thing. I want to get my adrenaline racing and the only console which has those in abundance is the PS2!
The ironic thing is that they'd probably love Luigi's Mansion if it was a PS2 game and are clearly looking for the worst in it.
... not that us stupid Nintys are any better when it comes to PS2 games! :-D

Typical.

But that's not what you're doing. You're moving around pixels on a TV screen.
In fact, if you can't realize how totally ludicrous what you're saying is I couldn't be bothered waisting my breath.
In short, fun=fun.
I somehow think that hoovering up ghosts is not going to get the adrenaline pumping quite as much as racing round rollercoasters on ludicrously good nikes at twice the speed of sound.

Yeah, and I'm not going to play GT3 because I drive enough all ready as it is. Goodness, Tetris must be rubbish, if I wanted to arrange boxes I'd get a job in Tesoc's stock room!
I'll pass on that one thanks :-)
