Can anyone help me with this peculiar, yet interesting problem?! Anyway, here goes: yesterday I rented Extreme G:3 racing, and , after brushing up on some tips, i loaded the disk with much anticipation. Then- aarrrgghhhh! It would not play. So i complained and got a free rental of Mirra freestylr Bmx2. Foiled again! the rest of my games work- except MTV music generator2(which used to work fine.)
The only thing in common?- They all have a blue surface on the laser readable side. Any help from anyone who has encountered this would be great. Pleeze-

Sounds like your PS2's laser unit may have developed a fault.
How do you use your PS2 - lying flat, or standing vertical? If you use it vertical, try laying it flat and see if that solves things.
Alternatively, call Sony on 08705 998877 and they will send you a replacement PS2, usually within 48 hours. Have your current PS2 ready to go back with the courier.
