does anybody know of any good websites that can explain how 2 create SSI pages?
The only SSI function I would ever try using is 'include' this basically just allows you to include content from another page (so it may be useful in a message board - i dunno). But PHP also has an 'include' function:

I do know about PHP as I have just started to learn it as I am planning to create my own message board and also a quick project for a register for a website that I post at. But I was just wondering about SSI as I have got a message board that I am currently using that lets u use SSI for some features so I was just wondering about how to use that. So does anybody know of a website where I can just read up on the basics of SSI. As I have got experince in differnt langauges and if I come across some kind of feature like SSI, I like to know the basics of it so that I can work a way around it using another langague. d:)
In my opinion, PHP is superior to SSI en every way.
There are a lot more resources for PHP then there are for SSI. If you do want to use SSI then look for CGI help sites.
All I know is that I tried using SSI, and was then pointed in the direction of PHP. I found PHP to be a better choice, so you may want to consider learning that instead.
