I've been doing the multiregion thang for about 2 years now and I've always generally headed down the Region 1 route. That's of course been due to superior discs and earlier release dates but I've found a recent new addition to my DVD love life - Region 4.
Not sure if most of you have any Region 4 discs but Region 4 is Australia. They have the PAL format like we do too so you get the same quality picture as Region 2 (Europe) without any NTSC (USA/Canada) picture worries.
The other brilliant thing is the current exchange rate. At the moment it's $3 aus to the pound and that means that some newly released discs are around £12 delivered.
