In the latter stages of the Professional Level, I have got to the Elise trophy, (a five race series), I won race 2, 3 & 5. Didn't enter 1 & 4, I got 30 points, the same as the best computer car. When clicking next, the screen went back to the race selection screen and I was awarded no trophy, earlier in the game you could skip (start then exit) races no problem. Did I receive no trophy from skipping races or because it was a tie for 1st position ??

The tie for first place is your problem. You have to be the clear winner in the series races for it to count.
