It's not/ never been about posing for me. I'd still go to the skate park, but as i said, it's been shut down. To be fair though, avoiding boards is probably much better for your health. I've only had mild injuries, nothing to keep me out that long, but enough to lose me my confidence - which leads to further mild injuries. To be a pro (or any good) you have to be prepared to break most of your bones at one time or another.

Ironic really that a counter-culture movement has been assimilated and sold back to the very people that rage against marketing and "lifestyle imaging".
Sorry, I'm having to create marketing presentations today and it chills my soul.
Have you no decent shops in your local shopping centre?
We've got a few semi decent ones. But most of the actual "skate" shops have closed down.
Rock city has closed their skate park down and the shop will probably soon follow :-(
But until then, buying on-line won't be needed.
