I will be extreemly grateful for any help on the following questions, they may seem simple to some of you, but i'm not web designing genius....anyway..

1) How do I create an independant scroll? so my left hand margin can be controlled seperatly to the main page?

2) How do I make thumbnails for my pictures? it's either them or a slide show (boo)

once again, thankyou in advance.
If you have any other tips or bits of advice you think would work well instead or with these please tell me.

Ahh thumbnails.

Well what I did for this guys website is I took a picture..lets call it 'picture.jpg' and cropped it down to a small square, then I saved it as 'picturethumb.jpg' then typed in on an HTML editor:

Now when you view it the little picture should appear and be a link to the page you have the big picture stored on.

Simple

1) You must use frames try using this code although you will need to make three pages.

One for the actually menu and one for the page and one with the frames code.

TUTORIAL

TARGET="primary">

<br /> <br /> <body>This page uses frames, but your<br /> browser doesn't support them!<br /> <br /> </body><br /> <br />

If that doesn't work replace 30% with 70% or just experiment with them.

Umm I forgot what number 2 was hang on!

Frames... yuck.

I'm sure you'll grow out of them sooner or later though.
