Does anyone know how the GBA will link to the GC. What it will do?

I've heard that in Kirby, if you're character falls off of a ledge, he lands in you're GameBoy Advance! (Nifty eh?)

But that is all I have heard!

Also, do you know how these wavebird controllers will work, their range, how big and ugly the receiver is etc?

Anyone know?

I think, with Kirby, you only need the GBA cartridge, you tilt the GBA to move Kirby about the TV screen, and if he falls off an edge, he 'lands' in the GBA. Flicking the GBA will jump Kirby back on to the main screen.

I think the GBA linkup will be a bit pointless if it's used for stuff like personal radars n stuff like that. I was playing Fur Fighters on the Dreamcast yesterday and that uses something like that, but using the screen on the VMU, and it's just really annoying trying to keep an eye on the little screen aswell as on the tv screen. I think the linkup will be good for things like playing Pokemon on the Gamecube then downloading you monsters onto the GBA to then play with later, to help build up your stats n stuff while away from your Gamecube, to then upload all the new data when you come back to the game. That's the sorta thing I could see would work. Or the sort of thing like in Kirby whereby you play the game on the TV screen and when you fall off the screen you fall into the GBA screen. That's quite a good use of the linkup. And I assume you only need to buy Kirby on the GBA to play it that way, and you don't have to buy a GBA and a Gamecube game to play it. That would be very annoying if, for every game which had a linkup, it meant you have to buy the game on GBA and Gamecube. Oh well, I guess only time will tell!

The GBA will probably be used on the GC for a personal radar or secret inventory screen in shoot 'em ups, a rear view mirror in racers and stuff like that.

The reciever will be about the same size as about 25 ten-pence coins stacked on top of each other.

The range for the WB controller is about 15 metres, I think, but not sure.

Hmmm the way the GBA and GC is a very interesting prospect and i'm waiting to see how Nintendo are going to use it.

the GC and GBA connect through a lead that plugs in to the controller port on the GC and the link port on the GBA.
the sort of things you can do are change you formation on a football game in secret and stuff like that.

the wave bird controllers can reach around 30 meters i think and the reciever isn't that big.
