Hi. Newbie question (as if you need another one ;-) ):

How do I go about transfering my domain name to a different host? (i.e. freeola) Do they (freeola) charge for it?

Also, am I likely to be charged by the company I am with now for transfer?

Thanks.

Freeola Charge £10 (one-off fee) to have a Domain Name transfered to their Servers.

you need to contact the person you wish to transfer it to, you may have to set up an account and they'll give you their details which you need to pass on to the server your using now. They'll transfer it to the new servers.

When I moved my domain neither comapany charged me, but some companies charge if you want to transfer away from them and some do if you transfer to them. If your really unlucky you may have to pay for both.
