Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter was easily one of the best early Xbox360 games to play. With a great single player and multiplayer mode its easy to see why the game was so popular. By the looks of things then GRAW2 will be no different.

The story begins the day after all the action in GRAW took place. You are still Captain Mitchell and you still have some bad guys to shoot to once again save the day. With a range of weapons, gadgets and the improved Crosscom system at your disposal its time to get ready for action.

Visually GRAW2 shows the level that next generation games are currently at. With plenty of action happening on screen at once the graphics still look glorious and when you add in the effects of explosions, impressive shadows, lighting, water effects and heavy gunfire your jaw will drop in awe of what you are experiencing.
Sadly though this experience is over all too quickly. The game feels a little too short compared to some other good single players out there.

Controls are the same as the previous GRAW game with some minor improvements to how you can control your team, there are also some new vehicles and weapons available to you but all in all it plays just the same as the original.

If your thinking of getting this game but currently don't play games over Xbox live then I'd suggest you don't – unless you plan on going online with it. The single player is over all too quickly and a quick couple of days rental will give you all the time to complete the game and save you some money in the process.

With that being said the single player mode is still very enjoyable, enemy AI reacts well and can be quite a challenge on the hardest setting. The effects created throughout the game look amazing and there are some great improvements over the first GRAW. The Crosscom system that lets you control gadgets such as the UAV now includes some armoured vehicles and greater control over your team. This can now be done in a full screen view which not only looks very impressive but also allows for some good tactical planning for each mission.

The multiplayer aspect is where the game really shines through. There are a vast range of multiplayer modes and options ranging from co-op missions where you must complete objectives to the classics such as team elimination and last man standing modes. Add to this 14 new large maps with plenty of cover that will suit most styles of play and you find that it's a game which will keep you entertained for many days/nights to come.

The online co-op modes are even more challenging than before and each map can be played at various times of the day to offer much more variety for each level. Sadly though the game will still automatically kick players from the game without warning if it cannot cope with the numbers in the room and suffers from some bad lag at times. Match creation options are very in depth this time round letting you set up the type of game you want, there are also options to set up and join clans.
GRAW2 is likely to be very popular online – at least until halo3 comes out so if you like your online gaming this is certainly worth experiencing for yourself.

If you are a fan of the first GRAW game then you will either be very pleased with the game or sadly disappointed. It plays exactly like the first game but at times doesn't feel like a huge improvement – more like an update or expansion to the original. Also some of the small niggles are still there from the first game – not being able to use cover properly in the online game being the major one that most people wanted to see included in this sequel. But with the first game being very enjoyable GRAW2 improves on it taking the game that little bit further and making entertaining to play through both the single and multiplayer game modes – the latter of which making it one of the best online games currently available on the Xbox360.

Highly recommend any Xbox360 owner to give this one a go.

10/10
Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
