Well its true isn't it.
Sony don't concentrate solely on the playstation. They make tvs and VCrs and hi-fi systems.
Microsoft are the same. They have produced software for computers (windows for you ignorant people). Bill gates made alot of money and until recently was the richest man in the world.
Nin tendo however have concentrated on games and consoles over the past 15 years or so. They put more effort into making sure things will work and will look good.
I give sony a bit of credit for doing well with the playstation but unless they concentrate more on the playstaion they will never conquer the market.
Microsoft have designed a console on other peoples ideas and what "ordinary" people think. This is a good idea but has not seemed to have worked for the Xbox. They descovered that big things were seen as symbols of power but thats not really true with consoles is it.
Consoles look better when they are small and compact. Not HUGE. The Xbox is BIG 3 times the volume of the gamecube.
Now back to the origional point. Nintendo concentrate fully on consoles which means they have more experts and experiance. Sony have some experiance whilst Microsoft have none.
I think that when both the Xbox and GC have been released in both europe and america the GC will sell well. The Xbox will sell a bit but not as well as the GC. In 5 years people will have forgotten about the Xbox and people who do remember it will do so with a grimace.
The PS2 sales will drop gradually and playstation will be second banana to nintendo.

I really want to see a game that utillises the Z-buffer.
Mip Mapping on PS2 will smooth all the squares out so no probs there and even load 12 times faster.
The N64 aint a bad console in fact I've yet to see anything beat Mario 64 but it's Just not for me :-)

I've got an N64 sitting in my room at the mo, (chill it aint mine) and I'll be honest with you It's the most pity excuse for a console I've ever seen, Square heads, subtitles and all the colours of the rainbow.

out of freinds i have

Another freind has almost everything he wants including a PS2 PS nintendo GBC and a GBA and a GBP. He is probly not gonna get a GC but i prefer to play on his N64 cos the PS2 controller hurts my hands.

I think that Nintendo were the only ones to make it from purely a game designing point of view.
Sony plumbed for full power.
Microsoft went in in between.
Nintendo's view might've paid off though.
Sonic Team, Capcom, Mr Suzuki (maker of Shenmue) have already proclaimed it the most impressive piece of hardware (their very words), despite the basic specs indicating that it was the least powerful (according to PS2 fans anyway).
Konami, Squaresoft, the rest of Sega and many other great companies have also declared how much they love the Gamecube (although none of these have declared it their favourite YET).
Ofcourse, many have said that these devellopers may change their minds when they "uncover the true power of the PS2/Xbox", but for now it seems that the Gamecube is the Game makers favourite bit of kit...
... just like the Playstation was in the 32bit age...
