Thats the beauty of the platnium range, when it sells a certain amount of copies over a year or sommin like that you can get it for £20 or hopefully £15 for a PS2 title.

If the range does hit the PS2 it's a safe bet SSX will be one of the first.

Yep - and they're still £30 after 6 years.

We rest our case! :-)

I'd agree with Aliboy.

I don't expect a drop in game prices any time soon. The price of the console will drop around Xmas and/or next spring, but the software won't. Even if it does, it won't be by much more than £5 I reckon.

More and more effort is going into the games than ever before... personally, I'm just happy the cost hasn't gone UP!

Think about it this way. You earn £5 an hour, word 8 hours and buy a game for £40.

If you spend more than 8 hours playing it, you have justified the cost. If you earn less than £5 an hour then you buy a game that will last at least the amount of hours that you had to work to get it, and people on £40 an hour can get pretty much any game and get their moneys worth.

Makes sense in a strange kinda way.

I seem not to have a problem with the price of games. Not that I'm rich or something its just that if you choose the right games the £40 you spend will be matched with many many hours of entertainment. Besides if you don't want to pay £40 for a game then you will have to wait until its going second hand.

Don't expect much of a price drop, the games aren't cheap to produce, maybe when the developer makes a decent profit then maybe the price will get lowered to a more reasonable amount.

Aren't Platinum collections usually the classic games on the system?

Lets face it GT3 hasn't been out for very long so I doubt they wanna drop the price yet

A budget range is coming for christmas but no word abut the platnium range.

Final Fantasy X is £50, like what the?? I've only paid £40+ for 2 games res 2 and CVX, all the rest have been about £15-£20.
