But then you got to work at being together, find time for your friends etc (and invariably when a mate gets a new woman, you wont see him for a couple of months) etc etc.
Why can't we be like the animals?
1 month in the year we're in season. Anything goes, and the females are just as up for it as the males.
If we catch you, you're ours and nobody cares.
The rest of the year?
We hang out with mates, eating and mucking about with nary a thought of mating.
Sometimes we could fight for tribe leader, other than that we just mill about and look casual.
Seems so simple
> Well, you'd be doing better than the rest of us who'd only have one month in 12
Yeah, okay, my mind was thinking "12 minus 1 is 11" at the time of typing.
Before you ask: Yes, I am talking about myself here (I'm a fat bloke in a wheelchair) so my comments are purely subjective.
Still, nature is all about survival of the fittest so maybe it'd be a good thing? Those with the duff genes (my disability is genetic) wouldn't get the chance to procreate and therefore those duff genes would get slowly removed from the gene pool. Burger ...

I was engaged for a long time to a girl I'd known for 15 years, and that failed.
One friend has had two relationships - including one engagement - fail.
Another friend had a marriage fail after just one year.
And my closest friend has just had a long-term relationship hit the buffers after about 12 years, and he has 3 kids.
The common theme? All dumped for someone else by 'their' woman. And no, there's nothing wrong with any of us - even if I do say so myself, each of them would rank among the nicest guys you'll ever meet, and they've all been crapped on.
So I'm not looking for a new relationship any time soon.
Your idea scores highly with me, Goaty!
