An idea that probably has no opportunity to come to life at the moment due to the current power of computers:

Operation Flashpoint based game with aspects of ultima online added in.

A game set in times of war such as Flashpoint but with the added playability of being able to truely play out the life of a soldier.

Staying as the same character throughout the game with the opportunity to train in different areas and progress to different classes of soldier. Where civilians interact more with a trooper. Houses can be occupied and used more "realisically" Chairs sat on, beds slept in and doors locked. This would provide not a game but a world in which to play.

The ability to play as a civilian, resistance fighter, trooper or a mixture of all could bring into a game advanced concepts which have always been dreamed about, but have however a lack of feasability in todays machines.

Flashpoint is the closest I've seen to a true war game. I wait until we see a true "world" game.

The Future awaits.

I thought you were going to say, lock door sit on chair have cup of tea for some reason, I can imagine that idea could be extreemly popular, i've always wanted to run through a street shoot someones door down and watch the tv, in a game of course, it could work very well.
e.g. your ememy is in the house next door, you've been given some hi-tech listening equipment to hear what they're saying, then you surround the house and arrest/kill the targets, it could be a huge urban missions extra level pack thing.

thats a very good idea you could have a type metal gear solid thing, also you could have geurilla warfare at anytime of day for instance: its about the time when the sun is about to set (has a time a day system) your in the woods the enemy is setting up a base they have men patrolling the perimeter, two men sneak up to the guards and silently kill them with knifes, drag there body into the woods, and storm the base without no warning, then bring in 5t trucks and squads to take their ammo and stuff. or a huge battle about 1000 + ppl in the middle of nowhere, ppl dying to the left of you and so on the atmosphere will be unbelivable so yeah they should do something like that...but with a low subscription or none at all!!
