Following on from the successes of Dungeon Keeper one and two, comes
Luncheon Keeper
Keeping the Evil=Good theme, you take control of managing a demon’s lunchbox and have to secure the best sandwiches to reside in your plastic lunch-haven of evil. You move through the levels as you take control of the pies and tasty snacks that other demons have brought to work to warm up for lunch in the fire and brimstone of Hell, until finally taking on the devil himself. There will be lots of accessories to kit your lunchbox out with, including dividers, salad spaces and a slot in flask. Think I’ll get this one on pre-order.
After the hugely successful Half-Life comes the less violent sequel:
Park-Life
The world’s first real-time strolling sim, you take control of Freedom Gordman as he takes his Sunday stroll through the park. Based on the Project IGI engine, you can literally go anywhere and see anything! Over 300 parks will be available to stroll through, and a mission editor will be included, so expect to see 3rd party parks available on the net soon after it’s release. A number of leisure tools will be available for you to mess around with, ranging from the bog-standard breadcrumbs (them ducks love ‘em) up to the larger footballs and cameras. If the duck AI is anything like the soldiers from Half-Life, this’ll be one to watch out for.
From the very talented creators of the Fallout series:
Fall in
Your chance to run a military academy! Equip your academy with the best in training equipment, build gymnasiums and running tracks, firing ranges and tank simulators to teach your recruits to be the best in the country. Employ the loudest drill-sergeants to really crush the morale of your budding Andy McNabs. Climb the league tables as the troops YOU trained go into active military service and monitor their success as they gain medal after medal and get awarded cash bonuses if your troops reach SAS standard. Possibly the most gruelling management sim on the PC!
And finally, the long awaited return of Lara Croft in
Loom Raider
In a Terminator style future where robots rule the planet, Lara Croft is sent back in time to prevent the disaster ever occurring by stopping the industrial revolution. Collect devastating steam-powered weapons and cap as many mill owners as you can! Remind people that it’s far better to be part of a skilled profession than no brainer work like factory work. Bring down the economy of the 19th century and hope it doesn’t have lasting effects on the prosperity of your own time! Mainly sticking to the 3rd person puzzle/shoot em up themes with sabotage elements, this could be the revolution Lara Croft has been waiting for (after all, the film didn’t really do her any favours).
All games are slated for a December release in time for the Christmas rush, so it looks like I’ll have a busy January!
Another great reason to buy one. ;0)
Nice topic, by the way. :0)
