Did anyone else watch this tonight, or indeed the original that was on 7 years ago?
The first one, was on an Island up north, there were families, couples and singles, they had their own little houses and we saw how they all got on.
This new one has a large slice of Lost influence. It's an Island in New Zealand, though they only seem to habit a small part of it. They have 3 wooden huts to share and there are no families or couples. Infact there are some right oddballs that would probably be better suited in the Big Brother house. They even have a Locke and a Hurley. However this Hurley is a sci-fi writer, just not a published one.
There's one interesting character so far. He loves to hate, he loves confrontation and apparently is quite keen on cannibalism.

Desperate attempt to gain viewers is my only thought on it. Perhaps the original concept is a bit boring for todays viewers but it was far more interesting as a social experiment than what it appears to be like in its updated form.
