To start I found out all about the hard drive and the ability to download your own music tracks, and also to have them playing as back ground music. Imagine listening to your favorite song as you tear round the streets in project gotham. Top stuff.
The broadband modem, something I think will change gaming forever(if we all get the right phone lines, grr). The big news that hit me was that in spring, US gamers will be able to take part in 16 player online Unreal Championship matches. Cool or what? Even if the online option isn't available here when the Xbox is released, just the thought of fragging on Xbox makes me tingle.
The prices also seam reasonable, not as high as I had previously feared. The Xbox will cost the same as the PS2 did at launch and I think you will find you are getting alot more for your cash. More power, the better games, the broadband modem. Pity you have to pay for the remote in order to watch the DVDs.
There is too much great news I can't possibly write it down but I urge you to check out Xbox.ign.com . Go check it out and be happy, the Xbox is almost with us. Now excuse me while I go hybernate, see you in the spring along with the Xbox.
*P.S. Hey guys talk a bit more about the Xbox, lets shake this forum up a bit.*
It would be nice if Microsoft priced up the peripherals, Ive been waiting for them to do that for ages!
you can use the controller....
And everybody interested in the Xbox please make more topics about it here in this forum, if not put it in the prime topics forum so everyone can see.
One burning question that I just cannot get answered:
WILL THERE BE REGIONAL X-BOXES, IE A PAL VERSION FOR UK OR WILL THERE BE JUST ONE CAPABLE OF WORKING ON BOTH PAL AND NTSC FORMATS? If the latter is the case, then one could get one at its US launch date in November instead of waiting (as usual) for it to come out in the UK.
The other is reference the UK release date. Any ideas?

Firstly, yes the XBox is looking fantastic, I can't wait.
Secondly we do need to sort this forum out a bit, the US launch is only a few weeks away (8th Nov - 6weeks or so), so we should start to get some info coming our way soon.
Couple of things I don't agree with, the DVD remote? Didn't you have to buy one for the PS2 as well?
Also, with Project Gotham Racing, which will be fantastic - one of the reasons I'm getting an XBox - you say you'll be able to play your music. Correct, but remember, playing an MP3 will use some processor power, so depending how close to the limit a game pushes the CPU, may mean you can't play some tracks with certain games.
