The innocence is lost, mediocrity has plagued the charts, and in the past year the PS2 has had only 2 games released on it that have interested myself. I haven't played anything for ages, but I don't really care any more either. Life is for living, maybe I realised that there wasn't any point in getting that furthest jump in Crazy Taxi any more, whereas before, the element of competition did make it seem worthwhile - with gaming magazines offering prizes, maybe they still do, but I can't afford such magazines, and can't really be bothered with their bias and pompous attitude.
Wow, graphics are getting so advanced now, and GT3 is a superb game, but in general, most games have flies hovering around them, the gameplay advances stink. But as I say, no time, more important things in life, I'm not too annoyed that I don't play games any more. The only games I do play are Virtua Tennis and erm, that's it. Oh well?
Japan has it lucky - gaming is a way of life there, with special events happening every week - neon lights, new games and new arcades to experience, new inventions and gadgets - but here? Anyway, maybe with the release of the XBox and the GameCube gaming will be more important, more influential in society and people will bother playing still. But for me? Nothing inspires me to play it anymore. Games don't leap from the shelve saying "BUY ME" "PLAY ME", well, if they did, I'd be worried. But there is nothing SPECIAL any more, I mean, really special - the magic? It's lost, Nights is probably the only game that can be assocciated with "magic", but that's my view.
Anyway, I've said enough, as if I had said more, I'd be condemned, replies would read "That was way to long to read", thus the point in writing more would be...well there wouldn't be a point.
Thanks
