Good job I didn't buy a PS2 a few days back like planned.

"And they're off! Sony cut PS2 to £139

[26/09/2003: 09:56]

The price war enters a new phase as Sony ramps up for Christmas. Your move Microsoft...

From 1 October Sony will slash the price of a PS2 by £30. The limited edition silver PS2 will set you back a premium £149 and bundles aplenty are on the way, possibly including a near-irresistible GTA Vice City and Pro Evo 3 double header, and an Eye Toy pack.

At their recent X03 conference Microsoft refused to discuss any imminent Xbox price cut but did go as far as vowing to 'stay competitive'. Only yesterday they responded to Nintendo's recent US Gamecube cut dismissively, before effectively tying their pricing policy to Sony's. So will they drop the Xbox price from £129.99? Watch this space..."

I'm gunna get a silver one, that's the newer versions that Mystique was talking about in Site Bugs, yes? Well I want one of them anyway. I'm happy, as it's now come down (only by a bit, but that £30 is a big difference). I can't wait to have a PS2 again. So like, discuss.
