I just headed on over to Gamerankings.com (a site which gathers game scores from a number of different sources), and they have the first few reviews for various N-Gage games. I had to give a little chuckle:

MLB Slam! Game Informer 4/10
MotoGP Electronic Gaming Monthly 4/10
Pandemonium Game Informer 6/10
Puyo Pop Game Informer 7.75/10
Puyo Pop Electronic Gaming Monthly 3/10
Puzzle Bobble VS Electronic Gaming Monthly 2/10
Puzzle Bobble VS Game Informer 3/10
SonicN Game Informer 6.25/10
SonicN Electronic Gaming Monthly 4/10
Super Monkey Ball Electronic Gaming Monthly 7/10
Super Monkey Ball Game Informer 7/10
Tomb Raider Game Informer 4/10
Virtua Tennis Game Informer 5/10
Virtua Tennis Electronic Gaming Monthly 5/10

Not exactly setting the world on fire are they.
I was unlucky enough to play Sonic and Pandemonium on one a few weeks back, and they sucked big time.

I was in my local Gamestation on Tuesday and they had an NGage stand. I went to try it out but the bloody thing wouldn't turn on. There was a little charge thing in the corner though, so I presume they had it on charge. From what I saw, the phone looks ugly, the screen's retarded and the buttons are so in the wrong place. Pretty much like the original Xbox controller with the buttons ever so close together.

Wario Ware and Pokemon - yup, they were good. As for the others... I'll reserve judgement, but Crazy Taxi's horid legacy jumps to mind. Oh, but Mario Advance 4 - played Mario 3 to death, what?, a decade ago. Porting it to a handheld doesn't make £30 worth of value as far as I'm concerned. Any danger of an original Mario title?

I'm sure we'll see N-Gage 2 & 3 very quickly as they try to keep up with Ninty, there is a "unofficial" N-Gage CD on ebay with over 150+ games on it already :)

Nintendo are doing plenty for the GBA i resent that comment...

There's tonnes of games.

N-Gage isn't too good I'm afraid I didn't really find it playable.

I wish the N-Gage was good - the GBA is getting to the sort of age where with the GBC Nintendo did very little due to a total lack of competition. A decient alternative would not only give us a whole new system to play with, but push Nintendo into actually trying, rather than there usual tatic of sitting around twiddling their thumbs and releasing a SNES re-hash and the odd decient original title once a blue-moon.

The placing of the control buttons are awful, I've heard.

I'm mildly interested but I won't be getting one.
