you made an excellent choice. i got it yesterday, courtesy of GAD, and to be honest it is magnificent, if not frighteningly similar to the original. for those who only bought it for the looks - you sound sensible, for once! it really does put star wars and the trekkies to shame, because the way everything works is perfect. the destroyers attck broadside, and they even LOOK like their naval versions (if naval versions had rockets).
as for the vagyr battle cruiser? ab..so..lute..ly..fe..ckin'...gr8!
the forward guns are incredible, and when you see it, you'll realise how cool it is for a row of missile bays to actually fire in succession to one another...
get it if you haven't already...
