I relised this a while ago, but when i came to post it, i couldn't log in. (Hence the new user name)
In CVG (issue 265) pgs 72-73, is an F-zero advert. But in the bottom right corner.
"Out 26th September"

You'd think they'd at least check their ads.

No, but they send the adverts out.

Maybe CVG used an old advert by mistake.

Either that, or they're going by the US release. Although, now, come to think of it, I got the US version of the game before that, so... maybe not.

wasn't Soul Calibur out on the 26th?

It's because Nintendo are distributing the Cube version of Soul Calibur, where as the PS2 and Xbox versions are distributed by EA.

You can't expect Nintendo to actually advertise now, can you?

Just saw both 'pricecut' and 'players choice' adverts in one lot on channel 4.
