please anyone who has played baldurs gate the shadow of amn heeeeelp i am so fed up i cant beat the mind flayers and have been stuck in the underdark for days now, i am travelling with jahera minsc and not to forget boo, anoman imoen and i am a lady wizard and arie so far so bad i havent been able to dispach baron frakaag either i do have the eggs of the lady dragon in the underdark but have yet to get the better of this situation please email me at helmsdalerosie'hotmail.com for your help and advise pplease hurry am suffering from depression as i have the game set on the easiest of game play anyway, i also brought the game never winter nights but have not been ablr to play it as i have got a vodoo game chip and it is not compatable, all advise on the new generation game chip would be helpfull, all help gratefully recieved
Mind flayers are a pain. If you're in that area where you've been trapped by the flayers, you need to get to the room on the far right-center, where you can pick some stuff that allows you to easily dominate the mindflayers, causing them to have to fight their own.
As for Firkraag, well, he's hard as nails, and only a combination of utmost skill, innovative use of spells and potions, and the right armour and weapons will give you a chance of beating him.
ALternatively, you could click to talk to him, and click everyone else to attack him. Firkraag will be confused and try to chat to you for the first 20 seconds or so while your team rain bows of death at him. He'll fight eventually, but if your team is any good, he'll be almost dead by then.
