Anywho, Square have an announcement to make this week, regarding GAMECUBE support. There are all sorts of rumours flying around, from complete exclusivity, purchased for $75 million, which I don't believe, to regular 3rd party support.
I'm expecting the news that Sqaure will develop for GBA, and GAMECUBE, with the majority of games being multiplatform, but some of them debuting on the 'CUBE. Probably one or two exclusive games too, but they'll keep developing exclusives for Sony too. Probably.

Ooh, a contentious issue!

So, Square games on GC? Yes.
Square games only on GC? No.
Now, i've never been a big fan of Final Fantasy. Do you know why? Because I, have NEVER played one. Never. I don't know why... I got into gaming again when we got an N64 a few christmas days back. I missed the SNES versions because we only had Street Fighter II Turbo, I don't like Playstations, and I couldn't be persuaded buy a PS2.
So, I can't say much on that othe than:
It may bring more people to Gamecube, but, if it's released for all 3 consoles it'll be one of those 'free games' that could be forgotten about... especially with the increasing about of FMV!
I don't want the Bouncer, because there will be a side-scrolling beat 'em up with SSM: Melee. Square, really only have the Final Fantasy series... okay so they have Secret of Mana etc, but when was the last time you saw that on a console!?!
Square on Gamecube can only benefit in 3 ways:
1 - By increasing sales and overall customer interest!
2 - By bringing EXCLUSIVE Final Fantasy and...
3 - By making the new titles appealing and not releasing some Hideo Kojima, monkey ass, Rave, dancing adventure type thing!
Square, other than FF, it's just a name!
BWRAHAHAHAHAHA!
