Well, looks like the reason for the HL2 delay has surfaced: for any of you who haven't seen it yet, check the http://halflife2.net news updates over the last 2 days. The source code was stolen from right under Valve's noses, meaning they've got a lot of editing to do before they can release the final version of the game. Poor show on their part for the bad security, but I'm really disappointed some would do this - this game represented a huge step forward for games in general with the source engine, and the developers deserved the rewards from it. November 30th sounds the earliest possible date it could be, so I'm hoping it'll be out for then, but I still wouldn't count on that..
Damn.
Like I said earlier - Valve are *more* then happy to release the game engine for modification - Why do they need the source code?
Its pathetic.
And yes - the fags that took the source code are pathetic.
What do THEY gain? I mean come on - They can mod once its released. Valve are more then willing to release the game engine for modification.
