SR, are you giving the games/dvd prizes for the 11th to charity? I posted some good posts that day, but if there is to be no winner I would 100% agree with the prizes going off to less fortunate people. Perhaps the money could go to the USA Red Cross or something.

Thanks

Dan

Perhaps we'll hold an extra GAD in its place.

No winners at all on the 11th - I posted something non USA related, a GT3 versus SSX (oh Dan shut up), just for the record.

You can't show respect much better than the lads did on here Tuesday, giving the money for a game is too variable, and it may give the impression that 'we' think money will replace the lives of those lost.

I think maybe a page in the next mag with quotes from Notables, Staff and Regulars... or whoever wants to.

Abstaining the game is silly really, because it doesn't show any real respect.

Just an opinion. Maybe a GOSH-esque fortnight would be better. To get a decent figure. One game will do nothing.

I'm not a particularly good judge of these things. Some sentiment existed that we should not have a discussions winner on the day as most of the discussion was on the World Trade Centre topic. Therefore we made no award for that day. That's all really.

Perhaps we'll hold an extra GAD in its place.

Most of us are also too young to give blood.

We can't give blood from the UK, but we can give money. The money could also be used to pay of debts or go toward future disaster relief.

Also, the mnoey spent will take quite a while for the American Red Cross to process, and by the time they can tranfer its use to a tragedy, the clean up operation will probably have been long gone.
