I thought that it was part of the Triforce alliance thing. All about arcades and such like, which Ninty, Namco and Sega are all involved in. For instance, Sega's AV gets to make an arcade version of F-Zero, and Namco are allowed Link in their game.
So as I said, as it's a triforce game, I'm not surprised it's got a VIP card.

It's primarily Namco, and it's multiplatform, and not exclusively "first-party", hence my point stands.

Why do they give stars only for first party games? surely they need all the sales they can get. Besides, we pay the same amount of money and are supporting the GC.

Ive have been at college for a month now. Each day I check to see if it is open but no chance. I have GBA SP and Wario Ware vips to enter which I forgot about. Its handy being able to enter in VIP codes but not being able to spend on crappy gifts. They better have some decent stuff when it finally re-opens.
Sigh.... perhaps they can't be bothered.
