not many, and thats a good point. im actually gonna start with a friend doin some basic on my ps2 to see for myself if it will be worth the money, or if it will be gathering dust after a week.
id say that the xgs will have a much bigger user base than the ps2 ybasic thing as the xgs will be aimed at electronic engineer type ppl too, as half the idea of the xgs is building your own system, hardware wise too.
btw, anyone know of any online resources for the ps2 ybasic thing?

im pretty sure that the xgamestation is not even nearly tryin to revitaise the industry. in my opinion, the xgs is like mechano or technics for game players.
i still think its a really cool idea!

a joke??? i dont think so. one of the main dudes bringin out the system has written loads of computer books so it has credability behind it.
and $99 is not expensive for a 'build your own' system.
It's clearly a joke. Expensive, yes, but a joke nonetheless.

as far as i know its totally legit. i read about it in EDGE magazine and they didnt mention anything about its legal implementations etc. and, in a way, its the same idea as the basic compiler as the one for the ps2.
as for gameplay, its potential is high, the snes is a 2d console and look at the gameplay on that.
im psyched about it and cant wait to get my hands on one!
I also wonder how lame it is. I'm sure a few nerds would need wipe-clean components, but in terms of gameplay...
