Exclusives!
Could this be the Final Nail in the PS2 Coffin for Pre-Sony exclusives?? (Final Fantasy is heading the same way)

And more on the way too......

For the PS2 owners concerned...

It's not the end of Resi - it's only for 6 games, and Onimusha and Devil May Cry will remain on PS2.

Resident Evil will be neat for pulling casual gamers but I don't think it'll sway anyone here.

The original poster said that Final Fantasy is going the same way...

I really doubt this, but give me evidence it'll make my day.

I was hoping Nintendo and Square would stop bickering for the good of us gamers...

I meant the Gamecube is as-yet unproven as a platform.

Capcom have tied themselves exclusively to a platform where they don't know for sure that RE will sell particularly well - or at least as well as it did on PlayStation.

I love the Resi games (just code CV today) and if I hadn't already been planning to get a 'cube, then I'd be mighty peed off.

But I'm not going to start saying 'oh well, they were no good anyway' now that they've decided to ove the franchise to another platform.

Capcom have made a fortune from all the Resi games on the PlayStation format, and if they want to limit their market to one as-yet unproven platform, that is their choice. I certainly hope that they got enough cash from Nintendo to warrant what they'll lose from the lack of sales for PS2.

I certainly don't think is a nail in any coffin, though - Code Veronica was a DC exclusive, and the PSone went on just fine without it.

There are still plenty of fine games coming from a lot of major developers - including Capcom - that are PS2 exclusive, so I'm afraid you're not going to see the back of Sony or the PS2 any time soon.

Resident Evil...pah, who cares.

The whole series was linear, and I am telling the truth here, I have never been interested in buying a Ressie game.

Also, just look at the line-up of games that Bonus wrote on a topic...ah well, I'll just tell you, it reeks of awesomeness, so the future is black and purple, the future is the PS2.

Oh yeah, and the camera on Ressie evil sucks too.

And blows. {:)
