Anyone else bought it?

It's not quite as good as XG3 was, but it's still a really fun game... just a tad too easy. Completed it this morning. :P

I really wish they'd hurry up with another RoadRash game. THQ used EA's licence last time (did they buy it or just 'hire it out'?) to make an excellent game, and that was on the N64 so a next generation version would be excellent.

I also have high hopes for Midway's Roadkill.

Plus I didn't really see a point in Extreme G 2's deathmatch mode. Extreme G is all about bikes going feckin' fast... so why put in a deathmatch mode where you travel around at a snail's pace (compared to the Extreme G norm)?

There are a lot of crap car deathmatch games out there.

Apart from Mario Kart 64 - though even that wasn't brilliant - every car-deathmatch game I've ever played I've not enjoyed.

Not Extreme G 2 that was sweet, also the deathmatch in RUSH 2049 was really good too. 4 player in the Battletanx games was good. The Vigelante 8 games had their moments, RoadRash 64 was brilliant in 2 player and good in 3/4 and of course there's always Mario Kart.

What wasn't fun about the early Extreme G games was the bikes seemed to drag along the sides of the track a lot of the time.

So no, vehicular deathmatch games are not all crap.

Strictly vehicle based deathmatch games are crap though.

I stopped getting them when they took out the deathmatch mode.
