I watched taxi driver for the first time yesterday and i was very disapointed, the end was naff, I was waiting for him to kill someone important! and use some call move on people but no...

Instead we have really poor shots and lots of purpley blood!

I love gangster films and wanna watch some good films, anyone got any surgestions?

Lock Stock was a brilliant film, best British film in years

Taxi driver is a classic, if a little dated, For gangster films Quentin Tarantino is class, forget gay richie his are just over the top rubbish :D

I can't believe what I`m hearing! Taxi Driver is one of the greatest movies ever made. There's not another film that comes close to it in terms of atmosphere, realism and sheer quality of acting by the king of cinema, Mr.Bobby De Niro himself. And there's a very good reason for the purpley blood. When the movie was first released it caused a lot of controversy, so, to protect fragile-minded people from reality, they altered the colouring of the last scene to make it look less realistic. Even with the altered colour it's still one of the most disturbing scenes ever.

Taxi Driver was a strange film, but you've got to remember that it's also quite an old film now too. I know it's not a gangster movie, but I strongly recommend you watch Raging Bull - it's the same DeNiro-Scorsese partnership that worked on TaxiDriver, but it's a very different film, and very good as well.

Cool, iv'e seen a couple, my dad has got goodfellas and vid so i'll have to ask him if i can borrow it next time i see him!

I think i'm the only oerson who hasn't seen resivior dogs, i've been looking for a copy but no-one has one!

I didn't think much of Taxi Driver really, youve probably seen them all but heres a list of my favourite gangster films

Reservoir Dogs,Pulp Fiction, scarface, Donnie Brasco, Goodfellas, Casino, Carlitos way, Bronx tale (I thought it was good) can't think of anymore but im sure there are.
