The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
This is what makes SR one of the best forums around, it's more than a place where we come to argue about games.
There is a sense of community and friendship that is rare to find elsewhere on The Net.
I dont know what I can add that hasnt already been said here.
I am torn between realising that retaliation would achieve very little unless you struck the exact people responsible and only those people without civilian damage, and a desire to see countries burn for what has happened.
That is not a rational thought, that is the thought of someone that has had a person taken from them at the whims of evil, despicable people with no regard for life and no soul.
I do not hate Arabs or The Middle East, I hate whatever small group of people decided to perpetrate this act of savage murder.
I hold no grudges against a country or a nation, I hold a grudge at whoever ordered this and those that carried out these orders in the name of a "Holy War"
All I know is that yesterday afternoon everything was normal, we were talking about how rubbish we thought a new console might be, I was worried about whether my band would ever make it big etc etc, and 24hrs later nothing makes sense anymore.
I went to check my email and my MSN exploded with messages from you guys. And that means more than I can explain.
People I have never met want to know how I am.
That is the one good thing that has come from yesterday's attack:
People caring about each other they have never met.
Both here and out there, strangers are wanting to do something to help, send messages of love and support and to do what they can.
And it may fade back to the usual world view of "So? Not my problem", but right now, everyone is looking out for each other and hoping we'll all get through and make it.
I havent been here today, and I doubt I will be for the next few days to be honest, but I want to thank you for the support and concern.
This is why I come here, not to win free stuff and annoy you with my rants about the world, but because of times like this.
Thank you.
