I got red dwarf series one almost a week b4 release from play, although thats the only one i've ever got on or b4 release date from them.

I guess it may be different for the games they sell, as I don't recall ever ordering a game from them. Maybe they get games in stock much earlier than they do with their dvds, so can send them out earlier.

Well I didn’t actually order my copy from Play, I got it in the post this morning, free from Special Reserve.

Well I didn’t actually order my copy from Play, I got it in the post this morning, free from Special Reserve.

If I want a game on release day than I always buy it from a shop. I will not take the chance that it will arrive late.
To be honest it doesn't bother me because they offer very competative prices.
If you want a game/dvd on the day of release, don't get it from Play.com. They're OK price-wise, but whatever I've ordered in the past hasn't arrived on release day, which is annoying if you're desperate for the product.
You do realise that play often take 3-5 days to deliver as it comes from Jersey.
