I propose, as a sign of respect, that no-one writes a single post in this Nintendo forum on Thursday, 12th September 2001. Who's with me on this?

Like Tiltawirl said, we come here to get away from the outside world and talk about games.

We've talked about this incident a lot in chat, and it would be best to leave it enclosed in that forum really.

It seems you're all against the idea of effectively closing the forum for the day, so I guess we'll be posting here tomorrow.

The TVs full of reminders about yesterdays catastophic events, the forums are one way of getting away from it.

But if everyone wants the silence then I will keep with it.

i feel sorry for the people that were involved

I think that Games is a nice way to put your mind of it and relax.

The people affected deserve our respect and prayers but I don't think a forum silence is necessary.

If people DO vote for a forum silence, though, I will keep by it.

Tiltawhirl, I feel it not right to continue discussing about a video games console while thousands apon thousands are griefing over lost ones.

I'm fine either way.

Ask Tony to close the forums if you want to.

Ummmm I don' want to be the black sheep here, the pictures I saw of it made me feel physiquely sick. But I really can't se how its a mark of respect to not post in here. But if everyone agrees then I will go along with it.

I agree, it's a terrible tradgedy and a massive blow to americas industry, history and the world. It's the least we can do as a mark of respect.
