FINALLY! I return to my favourite UKChat forum at long long last! My birthday is tomorrow and FINALLY I'm getting a Gamecube as a pressie.

If all goes well, it'll be arriving on Tuesday, or Wednesday, but basically all I wanted to say was I'm back and ready to roll (when it arrives)!

Never again will I be buying another console outside of Nintendo. I hated my PS2, and hated all televised competitions after seeing Dreamcast, which was my prize three years ago.

I'll probably report back tomorrow or Tuesday t otell you what else I'm getting for my birthday too.

Long Live Nintendo!

The Dreamcast spawned the latest Arcade games made especially for the console obsession.

Dreamcast's greatest games be it from Acclaim or themselves were such simple Pick up and play technics... short but VERY VERY fun. Dreamcast killed the epic games with Shenmue and Skies being a rather large exception. Now Capcom and Nintendo have stopped making their epic titles (well some of them) and began making the easily accessable, quicker to make arcadey games.

Luigi's Mansion, Product Number: 03, Timesplitters 2... Jet Set Radio...

This new era of gaming was invented by the Dreamcast.

And so therefore it is the biggest influence on todays gaming and a legend.

Personally, I found the Dreamcast a nice console that was lacking in the software department. True, it had it's merits, but few I would pay full price for. If I had the time to play, I would probably invest in one now - considering the games go for about £10, and the console itself £20.
