The cards in question are:
Tyan Tachyon Radeon G9600PRO 8xAGP 128MB DDR VGA/DVI/S-Video/Hardware Monitoring Retail Box (Quickcode 51440)
or
Sapphire Radeon 9600PRO 128MB DDR DVI-I TV-Out Lite Retail(Quickcode 48722)
There is going to be little or no speed or IQ difference between these two cards, or if there is it's going to be like + or - 5 FPS, so nothing to worry about. Both cards have the same features, both have 8xAGP and both have 128MB DDR.
Bottom line, you should go with the card that is the best value for money. So this is a combo of price and extra feature - by this I mean, free games included with the bundle, TV out etc.
Although personally I never use features like TV-out or DVI-I , so I don’t consider them to be a relevant when buying a new GFX card. I am more interested in good 2D IQ, quality IQ and speed in 3D apps plus reliability.
Only thing I will say is that Sapphire are ATI’s primary partner, I know three mates all with Sapphire boards, and none of them have had any problems, and I own a Sapphire 9800Pro - which has been perfect for the time I have had it.
Not saying Tyan Tachyon is a bad brand, just saying i KNOW Sapphire is a good brand.
