Okay, I'll just start now.
Tell me if you think its useless, I won't keep going then. And add if you wish, but make sure its in suitable fantasy style.
And has to do with "the alterante Grix".
As you wish then, i'll soldier on.......lazy sods.
I actually think its pretty good, if someone would bother......

A swarm of barbarians charged across thge open field, to be met by a rather small, in comparison, amount of archers, infantry and cavalry.
The two armies met with a mighty crash, but while the barbarians had superior numbers, the defenders were cool-headed and well trained.

One man in the infantry defended from the assualt......
He parried a blow, and swiftly cut through the attacker.
A barbarian came from the side, roaring, and the man neatly sidestepped and struck the warrior on the back of the head.
He continued in this way, slowly but surely cutting a path to the leader.
But, some did escape his blade, and were swiftly cut down by his companions.

Soon he reached the leader, who laet out a huge battle cry and charged.
He replied by cutting down the savage's horse.
As the barbarian king quivered on the ground, he was bombarded by a complex attack, which he barely countered.
Blows were struck, and mighty clammers rang, but the warrior's sword was true, and he lightly flicked away the King's sword.
"Yield!" he roared
The savage responded with a fierce cry:
"nooooooooooo!!11!!!!!"
The warrior's eyebrow went up, and he said:
"Then you shall die."

As he swung the sword down, a shout came:
"Stop!"
He halted, and looked up to see his King.
"King Tonty?" he said in surprise.
"Spare him" Tonty replied.
"But he is a.."
"No! This will never stop if you do not show mercy."
The warrior sheathed his sword and walked past the individual, muttering curses as he went.
"Don't let the children of the keep here you say things like that."
Said the king, and rode away to calculate his losses.........

I probabley used the wrong term.

Ah well.

Hey, you don't think you could edit that post and keep the thread tidy?
Some others might try if you do. Go on, be a rebel, bring Grix into the story.

They lad awoke, to see an obviously roaring drunk man brandishing a broken bottle.
"'Ow, 'ow dare yoo ensoolt Kawada, I'm gonna give you a piece of my mind....." the man said, then stopped to think.".....with dis bottle!"
He said, and began to advance.
Then, the "ape-man" cam eou of nowhere, and catching the drunk by the foot, pulled the feet out from under him.
As he slumped the man over his shoulder, he said "Don't mind Smedlos, he's just....drunk." in a rumbling voice. Then walked off towards the forum.

The boy got up, and went to look for food.
He stopped at a stall, and bantered with the shopkeeper for some bread.
After he had eaten, he saw 2 boys fighting in the square.
He watched with interest; they were using rapiers, which he was a small bit acquainted with.
He was bored, he reasoned.
He drew the near blunt weapon, and ran in to the frey with a cry.
The three fought, sweating, parrying, jumping, running and stabbing.

Later, in an alley in the far reaches of the bailey, there was a tavern.
It was a regular meeting place for the veterans of the keep, get a few drinks, have a nice chat about the horse racing, archery competitions and the meaning of life.
Smedlos already had the answer he said, but he wasn't telling.
As the drunk (no offense, for the story) sauntered away, Monkey_man nudged his friend.
"I suspect it has something to do with beer." he said, to a chorus of hearty laughter.
The night continued, and minstrels arrived, to try and earn some money.
The mirth was without limits, and the many people were happy.

The days were good, and this continued for many years, in the fair kingdom of Special Reserve, but alas, all good things must come to an end.
Just before the start of this crisis, a young boy walked through the gates.
He was around 9, and was dressed in simple clothes, with a near-blunt rapier at his side and a crossbow strapped to his back.

He tramped through the streets, and soon took out a lute, and started to play, hoping for some coins.

Near was huge podium, crowded with listeners, all attention on a tall man, speaking about some form of fighting for entertainment.
The boy stopped and listened to this.
They had fighting for amusement?
Then, in an act of sheer folly, he walked out to the middle of the forum.
"What are you talking about?" he called.
The tall man smirked at his friend, a burly giant.
The boy thought he looked like a gorilla.
"What’s it to you?" he replied
"Well, I've never heard of fighting for entertainment, it seems like foolishness to me." the child protested.
“Yes, well I wouldn’t really trust the thought of a child.” The man replied.
Inevitably, soon enough, this escalated into a full blown fight, with insults being thrown back and forth.
Then suddenly in a fit of rage, the tall man struck the boy.
“Leave, and do not darken this forum again!” he roared.
The boy, fearing for his health, fled, and tried to find a place to sleep……
