Apparently the sequel to Black & White is to differ substantially between the PC and Console platforms.

While the PC version will continue in the God-sim role, the console versions (aimed specifically at PS2 and Xbox) are being written by seperate teams, and will put you in the actual role of your creature.

Of course.

But to be fair, while you did cover the game first, the Upwire article didn't incorporate the details of playing as your creature, which IGN did...

Interesting, most interesting. I expect they could (and probably will) allow you to do both on both if this is the case. I read about a mini-sequel called Black & White Creature Isles, I'm not sure if they are going to make it downloadable or just low price but apparently it's going to be stand alone and allow your creature to get an apprentice, meet many creatures who don't have gods who will set your creature challenges and generally have more creature oriented fun. Not sure if you'll have direct control more than usual (the leads did give a lot of control) or if you'll still be set as the god. I think it will be the latter but it still sounds fun. Is the official editor out yet or is there not going to be one? Could have sworn I read that they were making an official one but I'm not sure (so I wouldn't have sworn obviously, plus it would be rude).
