I wouldn't imagine Microsoft have too much to worry about. Most parents realise that if their a little short or a little better off they'll still get their kid the present they want.
I would have thought most parents would buy gamecubes anyway... they're cheaper and they haven't lost much more than 2 weeks on the X-Box.
Having said that, the X-Box's will sell and the change in the stock market wont matter tha much... especially to less effected families like those with 2-3 children.
This means, in short, that parents just aren't going to have as much money to spend as usual over the coming months, so unless they've already pre-paid, they might now be thinking twice about spending $500 on a bundle or $349 on an XBox with one game.
Looks to me that XBox has been a little unlucky with its launch timing.
