Before I came to these forums, I already knew that I was 'good' at English. I already knew that I enjoyed writing stories. But I never really thought about it much...I wrote stories when I had to, basically.

I then came to these forums, hoping to win a game. I exercised my substantial English skills, in writing reviews and discussions, as well as reading them. This helped me learn big words like vocabulary, which improved my...vocabulary.

Then Grix started off a little story. I thought it was funny, and carried it along with FantasyMeister. It turned into an epic Star Wars tale, full of resounding excitement, tension and enticement.

We carried these on for a while, all the while improving my story writing skills. Buy as more people came, they got bogged down with all the other topics, and have not thrived as well since.

But then one day 2 nice little boys called Grix Thraves and VenomByte started off a short story competition. I was very interested, and started work straight away. Before that I had written a short story called the FOG Monarchy, but that was nothing compared to what I was about to write.

A couple of weeks later I posted, "Those Little Voices In Your Head." It got an amazing reception, my fav being The Game saying it was the best internet story he'd ever read. I was extremely pleased to have found I could offer something more than just console war topics to the forums, and continued to write them.

I wrote, "Those Little Voices In Your Head: The Return," which got a great response as well. I was especially pleased with the comedic aspect of the story.

I had a break, desperately trying to think of new ideas. Finally, inspiration came to me. Was it from my brain? Don't think so. From God: Maybe. I decided to write a spoof of my own faith, Christianity.

It was rather hard to write the serious bits, but the comedy just came flying in...hopefully. Lots of ironic stuff, as well as some little jokes and basic humour. The action parts turned out well also, and the plot was nearly full-proof, apart from some ignorable flaws.

So I posted it, and once again, got a superb respone. pb even gave me a "Heavens above" comment. :D Although there were less replies, this was because some of the regulars who had read my old ones had gone.

At the moment my dad is reading my stories. My dad is superb at English, and after reading some of the stuff he'd written, I would say he could've been an author. He feels the same. I was extraordinarily happy to find out he loved them, and he is now getting other people to read them as well, I believe.

Before all this, I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. I thought I could be a journalist, but after hearing more about, I rejected this option. All my friends had there hopes and dreams of becoming a pilot, a lawyer etc, and I had nothing.

But after all of this I finally have a goal. I finally have something I'm aiming for in life. I desperately want to become an author when I'm older, and I am determined to accomplish this.

At the moment I'm not sure how, but with the help of friends and family (and I'm sure you guys too,) I'll find a way. So this is ahuge thank you to all of you. If you've read even a segment of my story, liked it, and told me about it, I thank you.

Special thanks have to go to Grix and FM though (as usual,) for giving me all the opportunities I would not normally have had, by starting off that Star Wars story.

Special thanks also go to pb, Shocktrooper, Gaming Boy, er-no, Grandprix, Goatboy, DeltaJava and Strafex for taking a special interest in my stories, for loving them, and for spending lots of time replying to them. {:)

But one final thank-you to all of you just for taking about an hour of your life, to read them.

Thanks for reading, Ant.

Oh crap! I can't believe I forgot YH!!! I was looking down my MSN list to tyr and remember who'd helped me a lot and had talked to me about my stories, and I obviously didn't get right to the bottom...

YH, this is not something I say out of guilt. YH probably helped the most out of anyone in my Devil's Invasion story. Although my descriptive writing is still not up to how I want it to be, the topic YH made to help me was great, and my descriptive writing has improved a lot thanks to him. So thank you YH, and please forgive me!

Also, thanks for all your comments and support, and Fish-e, my 125 page story was something I wrote about a year ago and it's my own version of the Animorphs series. I'll send it to you at some point if you like.

Good luck in your future carrer Ant, you have got a lot of talent, and people have honoured this, keep up the work, and then I'll be buying your books in hardback, rather than coping them off the internet and then printing them onto paper and reading them that way!

Completely off the subject...

I hate in English when thye make you evaluate something from a book... and you look in every bit of deatil in structure, tones etc and it is a ll bollards... you just write from your mind or whatever... nothing to do with:

The aurthorwrites "a" there because it means it symbolises the presense of the devil"

Or some crap like that :-)

Apoligizes for that.

You forgot to thank Your Honour.
I thought that his tips boosted your descriptive writing incredibly.

I thought there was a big step up from voices to Devils in your writing style.

And good luck with your writing.
