for christmas i am thinking about getting an X-Box. The two games which strike me as being good are Halo 2 and True Crime. Has anyone seen what these are like for the X-box and if you have could you tell me what they are like. Or could you recommend some other decent games which i could get.
Thanks.

Ok so it's more than just 3rd person view. But I still think they are completely different games. KotoR just isn't paced quick enough to make it enjoyable. Now I know that comment will probably earn me a few slaps from it's (many) fans, but that is my opinion. I do have both games but find they have their own charms by being different styled games.

Is it not obvious? RPG style play, side quests, interactive world, etc etc. If you like GTA, chances are you'll like this.

Knights of the Old Republic is a must if you like GTA games. Seriously. Don't give up entirely on True Crime - nobody has actually played it enough to pass sufficient judgement yet, so place your trust in the reviewers. If they deem it rubbish, then so be it. But it may turn out to be quite good.
As for games to look at in time for Christmas, I think you should look at these...
Halo
Project Gothem Racing 2
Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic
Splinter Cell
Counter Strike
Rainbow Six 3
Plus theres a number of budget range games which has been mentioned. Try looking at these...
Dead Or Alive 3
Phantom Crash (not a part of the official budget range but still cheap in most places)
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Project Gothem Racing (Don't bother with this if you grab PGR2)
But for Xmas, all you need is:
PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2 PGR 2
Got that?
