Hi, I downloaded the Free version of Fireworks 4, and made a little gif animation as a practice.
When I preview the animation in Fireworks, it goes no problem, but when I export it, and save it as a .GIF file, put it into a Web Page, it doesn't work, and onlt the first frame appears, and the sequence doesn't start...

... can anyone shed some light onto why??

Thanx in advance

Nope this is from the very FIRST time I ever downloaded it! The first time I clicked on the try it button it said we detect a re-install (or something like that) do you want to continue. And it is only with Fireworks 4.0 everyone else keeps on downloading it.

None of my family have ever been on Macromedia.com and Fireworks 4.0 is quite new and most of my family don't take any imterest in web design.

I have downloaded Dreamver 4.0 3 times and today is my 4th and it works fine. I have downloaded Flash5 and Freehand10 twice and they work fine.

It is just Fireworks, and it wouldn't even let me use for the first time!

???? Help???? anyone know what has gone wrong?

When that banner ad compo started (which I failed miserably at and produced a crap banner) I tried to download Fireworks 4 it downloaded fine! I opened it up and installed it, fine I clicked on the icon and it said my 30 days trial was over not even after the first 10 seconds.

Anyone know what that is all about?? It happens everytime I try it!

I think that you are not saving it as an animated gif. When you are at the "Export Preview" screen, there are two sections. On the section on the left, at the top you will find "format" and a little drop down box next to it. It appears as GIF as default but change this to "animated gif".

Sorry about the bad explanation but I hope this helps.
