I mean, I've got a boom box here that is tuned to Radio 1 all the time, but more recently I've been using Windows Media Player instead to stream music from all over the world.
Currently I'm listening to Radio Free Virgin (New Music from the coolest artists) streaming at 100 kbps over the net, but if I fancied a change I could switch over to any radio station in the world that broadcasts over the web and get the latest news from Washington, Tokyo, Moscow, you name it.
One of my favourites is KPIG 107.5 FM broadcasting from California USA, as it gives a great range of musical tastes from across the States, and it's a refreshing change from all the usual stuff we get over here. But there's literally hundreds of stations pre-set into Media Player and I've only tried about 30 or 40 of them and moved about 7 to my Preset list.
Having a cable modem helps of course as you can access all the stations on there with no lag, but even when I had the 56 kbps modem there was lots of choice.
Try it if you haven't already.
Thanks very much for your time and effort which has now brought my son back to me and made my life complete.
