Foxy Brown "Oh Yeah":
What a downright filthy sounding hip-hop track. Bob Marley sample, reggae flavour to it. Fantastic stuff and the CD single is enhanced with the video..my lordy does Ms Brown have it "going on" I believe is the slang.
I can't stop playing this track.
Fantastic groove, samples to die for and is just plain sexy.
Alien Ant Farm "Anthology"
Heard "Movies" on Xfm today and that's a brilliant song.
The album is ok, Micheal Jackson cover that's funny as hell because they're doing it seriously.
Movies is a class tune, if you play bass, get this song and see how good that intstrument can sound.
Stereo-MCs "Deep Down & Dirty"
Waited 9yrs for the follow up to Connected and this does not dissapoint.
The title track is a stunning piece of funky dance.
Catch these guys live if you get the chance, they own.
Tool "Opiate"
Only one of theirs I dont have on CD, but I do now.
Their EP, the 1st thing they released.
Nowhere near as densely layered or thought-provoking as their albums that followed, but still stands head-and-shoulders above the nu-metal pap that is out there today.
"hush" what a classic track.
New music rocks.
I quite like them both :D
Any particular song/s you think I should download from there album?
I want to hear a few more songs before buying their album, I have little money :D
However, you neeeeed to hear Foxy Brown "Oh Yeah".
Man, talk about pitching a tent.
And she's a foul-mouth little madam.
Excellent
Lost Prophets are pretty similar, but not as good yet. Saw them support Pitchshifter a few months back, and they were really nice guys, they came out at theend and signed our tickets and stuff. Hopefully as they develop their style they will make it to the incubus standard. Their First album is on par with Fungus Amongus....
Oh, and brad - SOAD do rock!
Sum 41
