ummm, darkbasic is programming language. and if i did it more, i could risk it sticking in my head. for example, i could go down to the food cupboards, and to open the door i'd blurt out 'rotate object "door.3ds" ,80'!

There were many great bits in Black & White, enough to have me really interested in the sequel. That said, I did get lost in the original for hours at a time, despite the numerous bugs, glitches, and the really annoying "death" whisper when a villager died.
Thanks to GAME's "10 day return to base" thing, I just installed it, took it back and exchanged it :P
Yeah the poor gameplay mechanics are all there, and like I said, the minor 'fun' bits were great until you got bored.

Black and White is an excellent game concept, ruined by gameplay mechanics which enforce prolonged periods of micromanagement at a level of tedium conducive to extreme boredom and depression.
It's not a good game.

I liked Black and White somehow.
I just liked picking up people and throwing them in the river, Crushing animals with rocks, causing destruction around my village, throwing creature poo around.
It's fun while it last's I guess, It's more of a tarted up Tamagotchi with extra's thrown in.
Calling B & W crap is bit extreme.
